APDRA is regularly solicited by its partners - Ministries, design offices or NGOs - for the provision of technical assistance in the field of fish farming.
These services generally target peri-urban promoters or aquaculture entrepreneurs with significant financial resources. These fish farmers are significantly different from those that the association usually supports in the development projects it implements. The types of fish farming promoted are often also more intensive than those that the association offers in first intention to the beneficiaries of its projects - even if the association also regularly accompanies, in a second step, experienced producers wishing to increase their production by intensifying it.
For APDRA, the support of these fish farmers is quite legitimate and interesting. The experts it mandates to carry out this technical assistance make their skills available to enable these fish farmers to produce fish in profitable and sustainable conditions. They thus work in full respect of the values and principles of the association.
