The presence of APDRA in Liberia is a continuation of projects in Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea and aims to create a sub-regional network of fish farms. From January 2010 to December 2013, APDRA implemented the IFIDEP (Development of Sustainable Inland Fishfarming to Achieve Food Security in Rural Liberia) project and from 2020 to 2023, the NGO again intervened with the FishLib project (Enhancing smallholder fish farming by agro-ecological intensification and integration into inclusive commercial value chain). Finally, from 2021 to 2025, the APDRA also implemented the aquaculture component of the Strive project, under the leadership of the IECD.
To carry out its actions, APDRA works in partnership with the Liberian NGO Catalyst Inc. It also collaborates with the National Fisheries & Aquaculture Authority (NaFAA).
