APDRA intervened in Benin between 2008 and 2013, in order to bring its technical expertise to a project funded by the Agence Française de Développement. Between 2013 and 2015, the APDRA also intervened as part of the multi-country research project "Extensive Fish Farming Systems" (SyPiEx), implemented in Benin by the NGO AquaDED and the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Parakou. Between 2020 and 2025, she was responsible for implementing the "Support for the development of the continental fish industry" component, part of the Support Project for the Development of Protein Sectors. 

In 2026, it provided technical assistance to the Beninese association Aquaculture and Sustainable Development (AquaDeD) for the implementation of the project “Promoting Agroecological Practices for the Sustainability of Fish Farms” (PADEP).
