APDRA intervened in Benin between 2008 and 2013, in order to bring its technical expertise to a project funded by the Agence Française de Développement. Between 2013 and 2015, the APDRA also intervened as part of the multi-country research project "Extensive Fish Farming Systems" (SyPiEx), implemented in Benin by the NGO AquaDED and the Faculty of Agronomy of the University of Parakou.
Since August 2020, APDRA has been responsible for the implementation of the "Support for the development of the continental fish industry" component, part of the Support Project for the Development of Protein Sectors. Funded by the Agence Française de Développement, this project is led by the Beninese Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries.
To carry out its action, the APDRA works in partnership with the Beninese association Aquaculture et Développement Durable (AquaDeD) as well as with the Institut de Recherches et d’Applications des Méthodes de développement (IRAM).
